Strathy police round-up
Police Scotland are investigating a vandalism attack at a Badenoch primary school.
Over the night of September 14/15 an external storage unit within Newtonmore Primary School grounds was damaged.
No suspects have been identified and anyone witnessing any suspicious activity in the area at that time is urged to contact the force.
Local residents are advised to be aware on an internet/e-mail scam purporting to be from the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA).
Said a Police Scotland spokesperson: "The e-mail appears to originate from Direct.Gov.UK website, however it is fraudulent.
"The e-mail states that DVLA are looking to update their records following a systems upgrade and request that the recipient forwards their full personal details including credit card details.
"The scam continues to say that should you fail to do so, you will have your licence removed/voided. The DVLA are aware of this scam."

In another incident, on Friday (18) a male with an Irish accent offered to sell a quantity of cutlery and pots and pans to a householder in Dulnain Bridge.
When the occupier refused, the male became more insistent and eventually forced the occupier to go to their local bank to withdraw money to ‘pay’ for the goods they did not want.
The male was about six foot one inch tall, of large build with dark curly hair. He was aged in his late 30s to early 40s and had tattoos on his arms. He was also in possession of a dark coloured van with foreign number plates.
