Some outstanding exam performances at Kingussie High School





The headteacher of Kingussie High School has said he is delighted that the hard work of pupils and teachers has paid dividends in the latest SQA exam results.

Headteacher Ian Adamson said the overall picture was very positive following today's release of grades.

Both the Kingussie school and Grantown Grammar School are still analysing results. Highland Council has provided a breakdown of performance for Nationals and Highers across the region.

Mr Adamson said: "I am delighted with the SQA exam results for Kingussie High School.

"The hard work of both pupils and staff has been recognised and there are many fantastic achievements to celebrate.

"In particular S4 students Stuart Munro, Hannah Henderson, Hamish Henderson, Pavel Nagle, Morven Bayton and Freya Gunning who all achieved six or more A grades at National 5 level or above.

"S5 pupils Gwyn Owens who achieved five A grades at Higher level and Damian Paluga who received four Higher A grades and is going into his second year of a Foundation Apprenticeship in Business.

"Finally, in S6 Kieran Christie who achieved three Advanced Higher A grades.

"It was not an easy year with the cancellation of the SQA exams but overall the picture is very positive for Kingussie High School pupils.

"I would like to say well done to everyone who has worked so hard across the year and there are so many fantastic achievements across a variety of subjects and levels to be proud of."
