Snow conditions return to Badenoch and Strathspey roads





At 8.22am Highland Council's road report confirmed that snow and frost ruled across the district's roads.

"So all routes are being treated as necessary."

Schools affected by the conditions include Grantown and Kingussie, the latter closing early at 11am.

In the surrounding Inverness a dry morning with damp roads and cold road surface temperatures all over the area was reported, with no known issues.

On the Nairn side, there was ice early morning with some snow patches with routes being treated as necessary.

As at 9:15am today Grantown Primary and Grantown Nursery were closed due to the winter weather.
