Update for Kingussie water consumers after mains break





Scottish Water have told the Strathy that today's disruption in the northern end of the Badenoch capital is due to be sorted before 5.30 this evening.

"Our emergency repair team are working on this repair and have estimated it to be complete by 17:20, with supplies restoring shortly after depending on property's location on the network," a spokesperson said.

"We understand the inconvenience caused due to this issue and apologise for this unplanned interruption."

The disruption started this morning after a mains pipe was affected during roadworks.

It's estimated that hundreds of consumers were either cut off completely or intermittently.

One local business confirmed within the last hour that they were finally back on after some hours without water.
