Scotland's most beautiful run under starter's orders
This weekend will see 550 runners setting off on ‘the most beautiful run in Scotland’ in Glenlivet.
People from all over the country have signed up for the CHSS Glenlivet 10K this Sunday amidst the stunning landscape of the Glenlivet Estate.
Organiser Paul Corrigan, senior regional fundraiser, said: "This Sunday’s Glenlivet 10K is going to be a spectacular event with runners and joggers of all ages and abilities taking part and raising funds to help improve the lives of people in Scotland affected by chest, heart and stroke illness.
"The event starts at 11am at the world famous Glenlivet Distillery and we’ve had tremendous support from both them and the local community in the run up to the race.
"Sincere thanks go to everyone involved in helping organise the event especially Chivas Brothers Ltd, Walkers Shortbread and Run 4 It for their support for the runners as well as to all the volunteers helping on the day to ensure that the event runs smoothly - and of course to all the participants themselves.
"We’re all looking forward to a wonderful day in this unique and special place so come along and enjoy the fun!"
CHSS needs to raise £6 million each year to fund its programme of support for people suffering from chest, heart and stroke illness.
The charity provides care, information and support when it’s needed most - helping people to regain their independence.
CHSS also fund vital research into these illnesses and offer confidential advice and information on our Advice Line (0845 077 6000). Information and links can also be found on their website: www.chss.org.uk.
