Traffic was disrupted today (Wednesday, May 24) following a collision just before 3pm on the A95 Grantown Road.

Details have not been released but observers noticed an electric Tesla and Skoda minivan were involved and officers had to isolate the electrics on the Tesla to make it safe.

"The Tesla has a 5* NCAP safety rating," one witness told the Strathy.

"Proof of this safety gem emerged when the driver and other occupant appeared totally unhurt.

"The driver walked around with a cup of coffee for the whole time that fire officers from Aviemore and Grantown worked to remove a passenger from the Skoda that appeared to have come off a little worse in the crash."

The driver of the Skoda was taken by road ambulance for treatment.
