The Macmillan Cancer Support Speyside Committee will stage a series of multi-terrain fun runs on Sunday in the beautiful grounds of Ballindalloch Castle.

The estate is home to the Macpherson-Grant family.

There will be distances for all ages and abilities - 800m, 1 mile, 2.5km and 5km.

Entry fees for the family-friendly event are £10 for adults (16 years and over) and £5 for children (up to 15 years), and participants can sign up online at:

Any additional donations or sponsorship are entirely optional, but would be very gratefully received. All funds raised by the event will help Macmillan continue to support people affected by cancer.

Charlotte Mountain, Chair of the Speyside Committee organising the event, said "This will be our fourth annual Fun to Run event at Ballindalloch, and it is a brilliant way to bring families together in a fun way while raising money for a wonderful charity - and a good reason to get fit at the same time.

"At the moment, the weather forecast for Sunday is for sunshine so come and join us for a wonderful event and then stay after all your endeavours to enjoy the magnificent grounds with the whole family!"

Guy Macpherson-Grant said "The daffodils here at Ballindalloch Castle are out in full bloom ready to greet this year’s fun runners. We look forward to welcoming everyone to the Castle grounds this Sunday so that, together, we can support Macmillan and the wonderful work that it does."
