Rotarians set for Aviemore visit
More than 400 Rotarians are expected to gather for a meeting at Macdonald Aviemore Conference Centre this weekend.
Rotary District 1010 organises a district conference every year, with the aim of bringing together as many Rotarians as possible from the area and from other districts.
They will be hearing from speakers, enjoying entertainment, and getting updates and information on some of Rotary’s key projects worldwide and network with members of the service organisation.
The speakers will include Kenny Herriot, wheelchair athlete and hand cyclist, and cameraman and award-winning film-maker Keith Partridge, who has made over 60 extreme films which have taken him to some of the world’s most hostile and spectacular environments.
A spokesman for Rotary District 1010 said: "The Spey Valley area has long been a favourite choice for the conference, but in recent years the event has been held in Inverness and Aberdeen.
"However, we are delighted to be returning to Aviemore for our 62nd district gathering."
