Roadworks will affect A9 on Inverness outskirts

Motorists from the strath heading to Inverness are being warned of possible delays next week as work continues on the A9 Inshes slip road.

From Monday (December 5) to December 23 the work’s second phase, operating between 7am and 7pm, will change the road layout for traffic leaving and joining the A9 Inverness-Perth road.

The contract is part of the conditions of Asda winning planning consent for a new store at Slackbuie.

The slip road will be closed from January 7 to 22 to allow final widening with diversions to Milton of Leys likely.

The 40,000sq ft Asda store is due to open in Autumn next year, creating around 400 jobs.
