Treatment for ice continuing on Badenoch and Strathspey roads





This morning's roads condition report from Highland Council Badenoch & Strathspey confirms that treatment is continuing across the area.

The report, issued at 8.18, highlights ice as the main issue.

There is an inch or so of snow cover from Aviemore onwards.

On surrounding Inverness routes icy conditions were reported on low ground roads, with two inches of snow cover on top of it on the higher roads.

"Gritters are out on all routes.

"A number of schools and nurseries are closed or have delayed opening due to weather conditions."

There were no reported issues in the strath's schools.
