Road surfacing repairs to get under way next week just south of Slochd on A9
BEAR Scotland is set to start essential resurfacing and road markings improvements on the A9 south of Slochd.
The overnight works are programmed to start north of the A938 Carrbridge Blackmount junction from this Wednesday (May 8).
The project will take place over three nights, running to Monday 13 May between 7pm and 6am.
No works will be undertaken on Friday or Saturday nights.
Night-time two-way traffic lights with a convoy system will be operation to ensure the safety of both workers and road users,
During non-working hours, the temporary traffic management measures will be lifted.
A 30mph speed limit will be in place through the day for the duration of the carriageway resurfacing as a temporary surface and ramps will be used.
Access through the works site for emergency services will be maintained at all times.
