Road accident closes A95 near Speyside Centre

A tractor and a van are understood to have been involved in a road collision on the A95 by the Speyside Centre within the past hour.

The Aviemore-Grantown road is blocked both ways with the air ambulance and other emergency services in attendance at the scene near at Skye of Curr.

Motorists are being advised to use an alternative route.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "Emergency services are in attendance following a crash between a tractor and a van on the A95 at the Skye of Curr junction.

"The road is closed and diversions are in place."

The popular Speyside Centre attraction is just off the junction which joins with a straight section stretching for more than one mile of the whisky road.

Traffic Scotland reported the road was closed at 8.45am.
