Harley chapter director and his wife recovering in hospital after Carrbridge crash
The Scottish Ambulance Service has confirmed that two people were taken to Raigmore Hospital yesterday afternoon after the crash involving a car and a motorcycle on the Carrbridge-Dulnain Bridge road near Duthil.
A spokesperson told the Strathy: "“We received a call at 12.17 hours on Monday to attend a road traffic collision on the A938.
"We dispatched two ambulances, a critical care paramedic and a PICT team to the scene.
"We transported one male patient and one female patient to Raigmore Hospital.”
Both are now understood to be Stewart and Kerry Willox, central figures in this year's successful Thunder in the Glens rally centred in Aviemore.
Mr Willox is a director of the Dunedin Chapter of HOG, the Harley-Davidson Owners Group.
He was making his way home to Aberdeenshire and had had to make a diversion to Carrbridge to get fuel for his bike, The Flying Fortress.
"We're all behind them and wishing them a quick recovery," said rally organiser George McGuire.
"The latest is that they have incurred leg injuries which are not life-threatening, but we still don't have the full details. Everyone just wants them to recover fully and as quickly as possible."
