Povlsens touched by support after Sri Lankan tragedy





The Povlsen family have said the support received from people in Badenoch and Strathspey has touched their hearts following the loss of three of their children in the Sri Lankan terror atrocities.

Anders Holch Povlsen and his wife Anne express their gratitude in today’s Strathy in a poignant note headed with three initials A and ending with three tumbling white feathers.

Their son Alfred (4) and daughters Alma (14) and Agnes (10) were killed in the blasts at the Shangri-la Hotel in the island’s capital Colombo on Easter Sunday.

The Danish fashion mogul, who owns three local estates, and his family had been on holiday when suicide bombers struck.

The couple and their daughter, Astrid (12), survived the blasts that hit the hotel restaurant at breakfast time.
