Police warn of recent computer scam

Police in Inverness are advising members of the public to be aware of a computer scam that has been reported to them.

The scam involves a pop-up message on personal computers from perpetrators alleging to be from Met or Yorkshire Police and that the user is required to pay £100 immediately as they have been viewing illegal images.
