Police seek public's help in identifying Loch Morlich woman
Police are appealing to the public to help them identify a woman whose body was recovered from Loch Morlich earlier today (Monday).
Officers responded to a report made at 11.22am about there being a body in the water at the loch at Glenmore.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: "The body of a woman was recovered from the water. Sadly, she pronounced dead at the scene.
"Enquires are at an early stage, however officers are looking for assistance in identifying the woman. "
She is described as white, aged 40 to 60-years-old, 5’6” to 5’8” in height and of a stocky build. She has brown hair with blonde streaks.
The woman was wearing a black jacket, jeans, a white blouse and pink high top trainers and has distinctive nail artwork.
Anybody who recognises the description or who may have seen the woman in the area of Loch Morlich is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101.
