Police Scotland Highland and Islands Division have confirmed the idenitfy of a man found washed up on the shore at Kyleakin.

Alan Younger, (48), from Kirkcaldy, was discovered in Septemner, last year, but police had been unable to trace his identity.

Earlier this year they released an image of the man and a list of items he was found with.

A force spokesman said: "Police would like to thank members of the public who assisted with their enquiries and those within The University of Dundee, who assisted significantly by producing a facial image of Mr Younger.

"Mr Younger was not reported as a missing person and the last known sighting of him was in August last year.

"On the morning of 9 September 2013 his body was discovered on the shores of Kyleakin, close to the Skye Bridge."
