Police enquiries continue into weekend accident involving cyclist on A95 by Aviemore

Police have said that enquiries are on-going after a teenage cyclist was left in a critical condition in a road accident on the A95 at Avielochan on Friday night.

The 18-year-old cyclist was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries after being involved in the collision on the A95 Aviemore-Keith road.

Road policing officers are appealing for information following the crash which happened at around 10.25pm and involved a red Peugeot 307.

Emergency services attended and the man, who has not been named, was taken to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness.

A Police Scotland spokesman told the Strathy that inquiries were continuing and they were not able to provide a condition report on the casualty.

Anyone with information is asked to contact road policing officers on 101, quoting reference number 3935 of 30 July.
