Police appeal for information about possible paedophile

POLICE are appealing for any information after reports that a man was taking photographs of children in a play park on Thursday evening.

A Northern Constabulary spokesman said: "Some local children reported to their parents that the driver of a silver coloured, pick-up type vehicle may have been taking photographs in the vicinity of the children’s play park at Burnside Road in Aviemore."

The incident occurred between 8pm and 8.30pm last night.

The man is described as being between 45 to 50 years old, between 5ft 10ins and 6ft in height, stocky build, scruffy brown or grey and black collar length hair.

He was possibly wearing a "greenish jacket and a goldish T shirt".

There was no further description of the pick-up that he was driving. Anyone with information is asked to contact police in Aviemore on (01479) 810222.
