Police appeal for whereabouts of missing Kincraig pensioner
Police are appealing for the assistance of the public to help trace 82-year-old John Anderson who was last seen leaving his home in Kincraig yesterday.
Mr Anderson, who is well known in the village and a former community councillor, left his home on Dunachton Road at about 4pm.
He is described as about 6ft 4ins, of thin build, with grey hair and silver coloured metal rimmed spectacles.
While his current clothing is unknown, he does habitually wear a navy blue fleece type cap, dark jacket, woolly jumper and jeans.
Officers have been searching the area, checking local shops that Mr Anderson frequently attends, as well as speaking to family, neighbours and friends but so far there have been no further sightings of him.
It is believed he drove off from his home in his green Land Rover Freelander, registration number SY64 NLR.
Sergeant Dale Hansen said: "It's unlike Mr Anderson to be out of contact and to leave home for this length of time without making someone aware so we are concerned at this time for his well-being.
“If you have seen Mr Anderson recently, or his car, then please contact officers via 101 quoting reference number 1435 of Sunday, 12 December, 2021.”
