Police appeal for missing vulnerable man who could be in Kingussie area
Police are appealing for the public's assistance in tracing a vulnerable missing man who may have travelled to the Kingussie area.
Selim El Syed (54) has been reported missing from Leith.
He is understood to have holidayed recently in Kingussie and it is believed that he may have returned to the area.
Selim was last seen in the East Hermitage Place area of Leith around 3.30pm on Monday (August 17).
He is described as Bangladeshi, around 5 ft 5 ins tall, of slim build with dark hair.
He has a noticeable gait and when walking may appear to shuffle.
Inspector Grant McCulloch said: "We are very concerned for Selim's welfare and officers are currently carrying out a number of searches to trace him.
"He is known to travel to rural parts of Scotland by bus and train and will sleep outdoors.
"I would urge anyone who has seen Selim, or has any information on his whereabouts, to contact police on 101, quoting reference number 1409 of 19 August."
According to reports Selim came on holiday to Kingussie from August 7th-11th and returned to Edinburgh and told his care workers he loved the area.
