Police Scotland are seeking to trace the male driver of a black Peugeot 206, or similar style of car, which approached a female walking on Grant Road in Grantown at around 9.20am today (Friday).

A force spokesman said: "The female was walking along the road when the car pulled up beside her. The driver did not exit the vehicle but spoke to the female and after a short conversation the car drove away. She was not injured.

"The female said she thought the man spoke with an Eastern European accent.

Police are appealing to the driver to come forward, or anyone who may have been in the area at the time and may have seen the vehicle.

They are asked to contact Police Scotland on 101.
