PICTURES: Carrbridge public toilets locked for next month at least after being hit by vandals
Carrbridge’s public toilets will be locked up for at least the next month after vandals targeted the facilities yet again.
The public conveniences in the village centre had the front door destroyed and will now require a replacement.
The sink was defaced and a radiator guard damaged in the vandalism which occurred over the weekend.

It is the latest in a spate of incidents at this facility and the public toilets in Kingussie and Newtonmore which have been shut over the past 12 months by the council because of deliberate damage.
Local councillor Bill Lobban (Independent) said: “Yet again we see our public toilets wrecked and closed.
“The repairs will be paid for by our tax money so ask yourself the question where were your kids?”
A council spokesperson said: “As a service we are so disappointed with the way this facility has been treated.
“As has occurred at other sites where vandalism is an ongoing issue, we have instructed an immediate closure.
“We will not be reopening these facilities for at least one month to see if things settle down.
“We cannot carry on repairing them until we are satisfied that the daily threat of vandalism is reduced.”
There have been calls in the past for the council to install CCTV but the cash-strapped local authority does not seem to have any appetite to go down that road.
