Car crashes and ends up on its roof near Aviemore





Police are in attendance at a single vehicle road accident which occurred just north of Aviemore within the past hour.

The car careered off the A95 Aviemore-Grantown road down an embankment and into a field opposite Granish Farm, around one mile north of the village.

It is understood that the woman in her early 20s was not badly injured in the accident which happened at around 1.15pm.

Police were unable to provide a condition report but confirmed that an ambulance had been sent to the scene.

The car ended up landing on its roof.

Police are currently directing traffic at the scene.

The busy A95 - known as the whisky road as it serves connections to Speyside - remains open for single file traffic.

An eye witness said that the four wheels of the car can be made out just above the embankment and that a telegraph pole and fence had been damaged in the accident.

A recovery vehicle from Ross' Garage in Kincraig is at the scene.
