This week saw an emotional, piped departure for Jean Gordon from Aviemore Primary after 36 years as its secretary.

She had seen three generations of her own family receive their educations during her 'term of office', as reported in this week's Strathspey and Badenoch Herald.

"It's been a great job," she said, after being piped from the playground by the school's chanter instructor Chris Thomson.

Also the school has bade a very fond farewell to three much loved teachers, who are all moving on to other posts and were thanked and wished well by the assembly.
