Peat and Diesel's Belladrum performance in jeopardy as flight cancelled
Peat and Diesel's Belladrum performance is in jeopardy after their flight from Shetland has been cancelled due to fog.
The Stornoway folk–punk band were in Lerwick for the Tall Ships Festival yesterday.
They are now appealing for a fast boat, private plane or helicopter to help them make it to Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival in time for their 8pm set at the Hot House stage today. The popular Western Isles band were due to be a highlight of the three-day weekend for many festival-goers.
Peat and Diesel said: “Where is Calum Dan when we need him! Stuck fogbound in Sumburgh. Fingers crossed Loganair will be efficient if the weather clears up! We need to make Bella!”
The band made a last-gasp dash to Belladrum last summer when they replaced Eurovision star Sam Ryder after he cancelled due to illness. Sam Ryder performed at the festival on Thursday this time round.
