'No major issues' on strath's roads, says council





Badenoch and Strathspey roads are continuing their journey back to something like normality after the brutal winter storms.

Today's roads condition report, posted just after 8am, confirmed that local routes as dry or damp with frost first thing.

"Main routes checked and treated as necessary. No other issues," said a Highland Council spokesperson.

In surrounding Inverness areas, as at 7.14am, it was mostly dry roads with some damp patches and low road surface temperatures on higher ground.

"Checking high routes in Drumnadrochit, Tomatin and Leys. No known issues."

The UK Met Office does not currently have any weather warnings in place for the Highland region.
