RMT union to strike on November 5, 7 and 9
Rail union strike action will once again limit train services in Scotland this weekend and into next week.
Passengers will face significant disruption as the RMT union strikes on Saturday 5 November, Monday 7 November and Wednesday 9 November.
Routes in the central belt will operate at similar levels to previous strikes in September, although services will only run between 7:30am and 6:30pm.
Services will also be disrupted the day after each strike, so those planning on traveling between Saturday and Thursday are being asked to check their journeys in advance.
Liam Sumpter, Route Director, Network Rail Scotland, said: “We will continue to do all that we can to get people where they need to be during these strikes.
“Once again passengers, businesses and the wider community in Scotland will face significant disruption but I’m pleased that service levels will remain similar to those on previous strike days.
“Please check your journey in advance as those services that are operating will finish much earlier in the evening.”
Edinburgh Waverley and Glasgow Central will once again close earlier than normal (19:00) on each strike day and services will start later than normal on each day following the strikes.
Passengers can find more information about their journeys by visiting National Rail Enquiries or checking with their individual operator.
