Newtonmore hotel reaches for the stars
One of Badenoch and Strathspey's largest hotels is reaching for the stars.
The Highlander Hotel in Newtonmore has been awarded three stars by VisitScotland for offering quality service, accommodation and facilities.
Cynthia Robertson, general manager at hotel, said: "Our continued focus is the quality of service we provide to ensure our customers keep on returning and bringing their friends and loved ones with them.
"We have an excellent team in place, and it is their hard work and commitment that has enabled us to gain this prestigious recognition."
Mr Mark Edwards, Managing Director of owners Oxford Hotels & Inns, said: "The Highlander is well deserving of its three stars; the team are dedicated and committed to providing guests with an excellent, friendly service which is why they have such a loyal customer base."
Hotels assessed by VisitScotland are rated under a set of common quality standards agreed by the UK tourist authority.
The hotel recently marked the fifth year since the property was acquired by Oxford Hotels & Inns after the previous owners had got into financial difficulties.
