The four new Highland councillors to represent Badenoch and Strathspey have just been confirmed.

They are Jaci Douglas (Independent), Dave Fallows (SNP), Bill Lobban (SNP) and Gregor Rimell (Lib Dem).

Three of the quartet served the area in the last council. The new face is Mr Bill Lobban, who lives in Aviemore.

Mr Stuart Black (Lib Dem), who recorded the most first round votes of any candidate in the entire Highlands five years ago, did not seek re-election.

The turn-out was 4,385 of the electorate of 10,438, a healthy 42.85 per cent.

More details as we get them.
