Around 200 young musicians from across the Highlands are set to entertain folks in the Highland capital with some jigs, reels and marches next Saturday.

The event is High Life Highland’s first ever Fiddlers Rally, organised by the charity’s instrumental music tuition service and featuring performances from fiddle students as well as the Highland Young Musicians flagship groups – ‘Snas, Beira and the High Life Highland Pipe Band.

Taking place in the main arena at Inverness Leisure on Saturday 14 June at 3.30pm, the musical show will delight locals and visitors alike.

Norman Bolton, head of music development with High Life Highland, said: “We are very excited for our first ever Fiddlers Rally next weekend. It is a great opportunity for our young musicians – from all across the region – to come together and spend time practicing and performing with like-minded people.

“They have all been working hard preparing for their big afternoon and we can guarantee the audience will be thoroughly entertained.”
