New date for delayed A95 whisky road repairs
Delayed road repairs on the A95 between Dalvie and Advie are now due to start next week.
The work to improve a 1.9 kilometres stretch between Dalvey Farm and Duiar on the whisky road will get underway next Thursday (May 9). They had been due to start on April 25.
The £160,000 scheme being undertaken by BEAR Scotland on behalf of Transport Scotland will involve the resurfacing of the A95 in both directions
Mr Andy Thompson, BEAR Scotland’s North East Unit Representative, said: "These works will repair this section of the A95 on this important route for Scotland’s distillery industry.
"Due to a delay on another project, this scheme has been postponed until after the Bank Holiday weekend and the works will now commence next Thursday and are expected to last 7 days.
"Some delays whilst the works are undertaken are possible and motorists are encouraged to plan their journeys and allow extra time."
Works will be undertaken between 8am and 5pm each day.
