New CNPA board members elected
Four community representatives have been elected to serve on the board of Cairngorms National Park Authority for the next four years.
Eleanor Mackintosh, Tombreckachie Farm, Glenlivet, Ballindalloch, was returned unopposed to serve in Moray (Ward 4).
Following elections by postal vote, counted at Aviemore (Wards 1, 2) and Ballater (Ward 5) tonight (March 21) the following candidates were chosen to serve on the remaining four areas:
• Ward 1: Deirdre Falconer, Greenwood, Drumguish, Kingussie (pictured being congratulated by board convenor Xander McDade)
• Ward 2: Willie McKenna, 3 Dellmhor, Rothiemurchus, Aviemore, PH22 1QW
• Ward 5: Geva Blackett, Balnellan, 4 Glenshee Road, Braemar, AB35 5YQ
Replacement Lilac Ballot Papers were issued for Ward 3 and must be completed and returned in the pre-paid envelope by 4pm on Thursday 28 March 2019 and the counting of the votes for the ward will take place on Thursday, March 28 at 5pm at the Aviemore Community Centre.
