New affordable rent flats in centre of Aviemore are expected to be hot property
Highland Housing Alliance has announced that notes of interest are now open for the 41 highly anticipated two-bedroom flats at Bynack More.
Delivered by Tulloch Homes, HHA will take handover of the homes which are expected to complete in January 2026.
HHA have described the properties as ‘a significant and much sought-after development in Aviemore’.
The homes will be available under mid-market rent (MMR) tenure, providing an affordable rental option for individuals and families who may not qualify for social housing but find it difficult to afford private market rents.
It offers an accessible pathway to quality housing, bridging the gap between social and open market provision.
The development has been supported with funding from the Scottish Government, Highland Council and Inverness and Highland City Region Deal.
Eight of these homes will be specifically reserved for blue light workers, providing essential housing for those who serve the community.
The delivery of the Bynack More flats is a key milestone in a wider strategic partnership between Highland Housing Alliance and Tulloch Homes.
This collaboration is set to bring more than 100 new homes to the Highlands to help tackle the long running affordable homes crisis.
Gail Matheson, CEO of Highland Housing Alliance, said: "We recognise the acute need for high-quality affordable housing in Aviemore.
“These 41 two-bedroom flats, particularly with the dedicated provision for our invaluable blue light workers, will make a substantial difference.
“These homes are available at mid-market rent and offer residents not just a secure place to live in a highly sought-after location but also the opportunity to be part of a vibrant community with excellent access to local amenities, schools, and the outdoor opportunities of the Cairngorm National Park.
“We are confident they will provide an excellent standard of living for many who wish to reside and work in this beautiful region."
Prospective tenants interested in the Bynack More flats are encouraged to submit their notes of interest as soon as possible due to anticipated high demand.
