Nethy Bridge drink-driver almost four times limit when caught entering Grantown





A 25 year old landscaper who drove in Grantown with almost four times the legal amount of alcohol in his system was fined £840 and banned from driving for a year.

However Jordan Mundy-Bruce of Broomhill Court, Nethy Bridge will earn a three month discount on his disqualification if he successfully completes the drink driver rehabilitation programme.

He admitted driving on the night of April 11, this year with 81mcgs of alcohol when the maximum allowed is 22 micrograms (mcgs) of alcohol in 100ml of breath.

Fiscal depute Adelle Gray said: "Police got a call about an unrelated matter and were on patrol when their attention was drawn to his vehicle and it was pulled over.

“There was a strong smell of alcohol and the drink driver procedure was carried out."
