Highland to solidify in defence for Whitecraigs

Dave Carson says that defence will be the key if Highland are to get another positive result against a free-scoring Whitecraigs side this Saturday.

Last time out Highland defeated GHK by the comfortable margin of 45-20, meanwhile Saturday’s opponents were putting 47 points past Falkirk, who had beaten Carson’s team the week before.

Whitecraigs are the second top scorers in National Two so far this season, but they also have the worst defensive record from the teams in the top half of the table.

So Carson is confident that if they can stem the flow of their opponents’ points, they will have enough to secure the win.

"They’re a funny side, they score a lot," Carson said.
