County unaffected by Raith boss's exit

Steven Ferguson is confident Ross County will be unaffected by the prospect of facing a team in managerial turmoil for the second week running.

Irn-Bru Cup opponents Raith Rovers, reeling from the unexpected resignation of Barry Smith, venture north tomorrow with caretaker Kevin Cuthbert in charge.

Any preconceptions Ferguson and co-manager Stuart Kettlewell held about the likely approach of the League One title challengers will have to be treated with caution.

But having faced a similar scenario before last weekend’s 2-0 home victory over Falkirk, Ferguson wasn’t overly concerned by the surprise development.
