A ROSS-SHIRE ancestral home will open its doors in aid of a good cause on Saturday.

Foulis Castle near Evanton, seat of the Clan Munro, will be the venue for a fundraising Daffodil Tea, organised by Soroptimists International of Easter Ross.

People are being invited along to enjoy the grounds in spring, take tea in the castle and buy plants, from 2pm.

The event is in aid of Mary’s Meals, a Scottish charity which provides school feeding projects for some of the world’s poorest countries.

It began by feeding 200 children in Malawi in 2002 and today feeds more than 600,000 hungry children in 16 countries around the world.
