THE secretary of a local football club is appealing for youths to stop trashing their ground.

Forres Thistle spokesman James Sutherland claims, since the start of summer, Logie Park on Pilmuir Road West has been vandalised.

He said: "They drink in the dugouts and cause mayhem! It's been happening on a regular basis, usually on Friday nights. They smashed a window in the away dressing room and generally leave a mess.

"When the police are called they sometimes come down but the youths run away. We have asked the police to do the odd run past but they have not caught anyone yet."

A police spokeswoman in Aberdeen confirmed that police had received a couple of calls relating to antisocial behaviour at Logie Park in July.

She said: "Police attended and there was no damage found. We've also had calls relating to the antisocial use of a motorcycle in the area. No one has been charged in relation to this.

"Officers continue to carry out patrols and encourage any concerns to be reported to police on 101 as soon as possible with as much information as possible including descriptions."
