VIDEO: Buckie hopes crash in eight minutes

By SPP Reporter

Video highlights from the William Hill Scottish Cup YouTube channel (above) show Jags losing 3-1 to Lowland League Edusport Academy in Annan.

The damage was done by an eight-minute Scott McLaughlin hat-trick inside the opening 25 minutes, all deadly left foot finishes.

Jags improved in the second half and Stevie Ross pulled back a goal but the home side held on to book a tie against Fraserburgh in round two.

"They outplayed us for the first 20 minutes," said Buckie defender and assistant boss Lewis MacKinnon.

"They moved the ball about well, made good third man runs and caused us a lot of problems.

"Defensively and midfield wise we should have done better for the goals and that's disappointing

Buckie now have a free weekend but should have injured pair Craig Dorrat and Scott Adams back for the home game against Clach next month, with several others close to fitness.
