A CHILD has been taken to Raigmore Hosptial after a road accident on the outskirts of Inverness.

The boy was hurt following the two vehicle collision on the B862 between Whitebridge and Errogie at 3.55pm on Thursday.

Police, fire and ambulance personnel are attending but the child's injuries are not life threatening, a spokesman for Northern Constabulary said.

None of the other people travelling in the car, two adults and a girl, are injured and the occupants of the second vehicle also escaped injury.
