TWO Highland rugby talents are set for international action after earning prestigious call-ups to Scottish invitation team Projecx Waterboys.

Oscar Baird and Andrew Findlater are the first Highlanders to be selected by the six-year-old club.

Baird, a 21-year-old back, will miss Highland’s away trip to face Howe of Fife on Saturday as he joins the Projecx Waterboys squad heading to Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia for the Cobra 10s tournament.

They will face teams from across Asia, Australia and New Zealand, with Highland coach Dave Carson viewing the invitation as a real feather in the cap for the Canal Park outfit.

Fellow back Findlater’s trip will come a fortnight later, with the 25-year-old taking part in the Projecx Waterboys team picked for the Dubai Sevens.
