Highland League Cup draw made

THE draw for the early rounds of the Highland League Cup has set up a possible Moray derby.

Buckie Thistle are the only Moray side drawn into the preliminary round, as they were handed a trip to Nairn County on Saturday. November 3.

The winners of that tie will visit Rothes in the first round a fortnight later.

Lossiemouth host Huntly in round one, Keith are at home to the winners of the other preliminary tie between Clach and Brora and Deveronvale make the trip along the coast to take on Fraserburgh.

Preliminary Round (Saturday, November 3)

Clachnacuddin v Brora Rangers

Nairn County v Buckie Thistle

First Round (Saturday, November 17)

Rothes v Nairn County or Buckie Thistle

Fraserburgh v Deveronvale

Strathspey Thistle v Forres Mechanics

Keith v Clachnacuddin or Brora Rangers

Cove Rangers v Turriff United

Fort William v Wick Academy

Formartine United v Inverurie Loco Works

Lossiemouth v Huntly

All ties are played to a finish at the first time of asking.

Second round draw will be held on November 17 with ties played on December 8.

Semi-finals are played on March 16, final on April 6.
