Off-Axis presents Emme Woods and three other performers at the Tooth and Claw in Inverness from 7pm on Saturday, August 25.

First up is Clackmannanshire singer-songwriter Emme aka Morgan Woods – whose sound was described recently as “echoing reverb of 60s guitar-pop filtered through the grime and distortion of 90s garage rock and howling Brody Dalle-esque vocals” by Seven Days’ own Kyle Walker.

Calum Mackenzie Jones from Oran, Buckie, has been busy this year with dates including an impressive support slot to Road To Amarillo legend Tony Christie at Eden Court.

Calum’s new single Throw Me to the Wolves is out the day before his Off-Axis set.

Also on the bill will be The Chosen Lonely – otherwise known as Nairn’s Steven Barclay – and acoustic folk from Ardersier’s 19-year-old singer-songwriter Sam Cain.
