Stuart Kettlewell is wary of the threat ex-Ross County striker Craig Curran could pose at Tannadice tomorrow.

But the Staggies’ co-manager is convinced he and Steve Ferguson recruited a replacement of exceptional promise in Declan McManus this summer.

Curran, after four seasons, 118 appearances and 29 goals, opted to leave Dingwall under freedom of contract following relegation from the Premiership.

The Liverpudlian’s County career was disrupted by a worrying long-term concussion ailment, but the 29-year-old battled back with courage to set his career back on track.

Kettlewell remains full of admiration for the Englishman, who has hit two goals in five starts for United.
