ACE City Wanderers striker Kai Cruickshank hit an astonishing TEN goals as his side ran riot at the weekend.

Kai hit double figures as his team swept away fellow Aird and District Welfare League side 3D Plans with an avalanche of goals in a 14-3 romp last Sunday.

And the striker – who had scored just twice this season before Sunday’s game – was delighted at his feat.

He said: “It was one of those days where everything I seemed to touch went in. Everything just went my way.

“I’ve been told it is a new record for a local player. My coach phoned George Davidson, the league secretary, and he said he thought the previous record was seven or eight.

“My previous best is three.

“I’ve only scored 12 goals in total now this season, as I’d only scored two before that.

In addition to Kai’s astonishing goal spree, Wanderers’ other goals in the rout came from Ryan Ingram (2), Ewan Gray and Ally Smith.

Despite the deluge, 3D came up with three top quality goals of their own. Paul MacDonald scored in the first half with a neat lob over the Wanderers’ goalkeeper. And David Beaton netted twice after the break.
