Police witness appeal as man (21) dies after Ross-shire road collision on A835
Police had yesterday renewed an appeal for witnesses following the Sunday evening collision on the A835 near Garve .
The collision involving a blue Volkswagen Bora and a Peugeot Boxer van was reported shortly after 6.25pm on and happened around one mile west of Tarvie.
The 21-year-old man driving the Volkswagen was initially taken to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness for treatment to serious injuries but died on Monday.
A female passenger from the car was also treated at Raigmore and has since been released. The male driver of the Peugeot van was assessed at the scene and did not require further treatment.
The road was closed for a investigation to take place at the scene and reopened around 2.30am.
Constable Calum Macaulay said: "Our enquiries are ongoing into the circumstances and we have already spoken to a number of witnesses.
“I would ask anyone who witnessed the collision or saw these vehicles prior to the incident and has not yet spoken to police to get in touch as soon as possible."
