Horsfield hat trick starts Ross Sutherland bowl defence with win

KENNY Horsfield cemented his reputation as cup specialist as Ross Sutherland ran out 43-38 winners against North Police in a pulsating Caledonia Bowl first round tie.
The Stags’ winger was stand-out performer with three tries amid the frenetic action between two sides tipped to be fierce promotion rivals this season.
Horsfield had done exactly the same in two Caledonia Bowl contests against Fraserburgh and Peterhead last year.
But the 30-year-old admitted the ragged contest pointed to much improvement needed before the September 22 league opener against RAF Lossiemouth.
