THURSO lifeboat The Taylors was called out today (Wednesday) to assist a local creel boat which had suffered engine problems in Thurso Bay.

The vessel launched in good weather conditions at 12.20pm and was alongside the Zenith, which was near Murkle Point, by 12.30pm.

A tow rope was attached to the boat, which had three people on board, and it was taken safely back to Scrabster harbour at 1.30pm.
