Maclennan is after a new personal best in Leeds

Mhairi Maclennan is hoping she can post a second personal best over 10k in as many years at the Leeds Abbey Dash on November 4 after being named in the Scotland squad for the race.

Last year was the Kirkhill athlete’s first time racing at the Leeds course, and she says she feels better prepared now than she did then.

And being able to do it while representing her country is just an added bonus.

“I was going to be doing this race anyway, so it’s just given me the option to try the new kit and run with the team,” Maclennan said.
